2006.11.22-26 Thanksgiving in Sandpoint

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

We spent Thanksgiving with my mom and dad in Laclede. We had a relatively easy drive up and had a great dinner with Mom, Dad and their friends Larry and Judy from across the street. On Friday, we took a drive up to Priest Lake and drove around in the fresh snow up there. It snowed on and off the whole time we were up there culminating in a pretty big storm for our drive back. On the way back, our normally 8 hour drive turned into an 11 hour drive. It snowed from Coeur d’Alene to Horseshoe Bend.

On the way south, Andrea and I also stopped at the house where I grew up in Spirit Lake. The neighborhood has changed a lot. There are a ton of new houses in the fields where we used to play. My first Christmas tree that my dad planted in the front yard is now about 30 ft. tall. The remains of an old tree fort that Kurt and I put up in a pine tree down the street are still nailed to the branches 20 years later.
